Airflow modifications

I've realized recently that the airflow setup on our TPIs are really, really limited. Or atleast it seems that way.

Does anyone know the name of those air filters that attach at the end of the TPI plenum thing... Is there anything extra required? how much do those things cost?

and can anyone actually feel the improvement of using one? Seems like you'd get a LOT more air into the engine that way (although, warmer air)... anyone with any dynos of before/after? unlikely, but the more detailed the better

and if you have one, what'd you do to cover up the area where the normal setup attached to the front end of the car? (over up the holes)
or is there someway to fabricate it (or leave them open, if it works that way) so the engine gets more cool air?

dont waste your money on one of those. all it does is make a lot of noise and suck lots of hot air right off of your radiator. cut the bottom of your stock intake off and get some type of ducting to connect it to the space behind the foglights. i had one of those before and you can feel it kill performance.

on the black piece, though, that connects over the filters
it has a slight up-shift at one point.. it looks like it really doesn't allow enough room for air

so this isn't really a problem?

Those cone filters are designed for SD cars. You can convert your setup to a ram-air style and will gain a few extra ponies that way.

The stock camaro airbox doesn't even become a slight restriction until you are well over 300hp. Save your money for something that really helps.
