Injector resistances..WTF?

ok earlier today i saw a post about injectors...there was something said about testing them with an ohmmeter and the resistances should fall between 14-16 ohms.
i tested mine just now and this is what i got

listed from the firewall to the front end
passenger side = 17.5, 18.5, 19, 19
driver side = 20.5, 20.5, 24, 25

the car is an 86 lb9 tpi auto...ive been having problems with a hesitation when i stomp on the gas, and it gets horribly bad under load. the car seems to lose all power for a second, and then it will go, but i know there should be more power. ive replaced the maf, and relays, coolant temp sensor,
air temp sensor, plugs, checked for vacuum leaks and found none, replaced the rotor in the dist. cap, checked the coil, checked the plug wires and they dont seem to be arcing, i ran fuel injector cleaner through the injectors, checked the fuel pressure, changed the iac and countless other things which helped a little bit but not totally...alsdo the car has a problem gettig started when cold and idles pretty badly also when cold. any help or suggestions are appreciated.

According to my Haynes manual (Firebird - all models '82 thru '92),
the factory fuel injector resistence is between 11-14 ohms.

I'm not a good enough mechanic to say that this is your problem, but it seems like the numbers you listed are too high.

I would recommend picking-up a Haynes manual (if you do not have one). They are about $15-$20 Autozone. Mine has come in handy many times since I bought my car.

If you do decide to replace the injectors, alot of people in the forum have been talking about the SLP injectors for $99.95

you might check them out. Myself, I went with Accel.

Hope this helps.

How much did it cost to test and isn't it worth it to simply replace them? We're talking 13+ year old injectors here...

100 bucks total to clean and service them. if you do a search on rich @ cruzin performance you will find this service to be highly recommended.
