TPI Re-build

Hey guys just a quick question. I want to re-build my 350 TPI i want to change everything on it. Iam not really too experienced with this so i was just wondering if anyone knows of any web sites that give free step by step info on how to re-build or are there any books that i can buy to do this. Thanks any suggestions are helpful.

Well it all depends on what you wanna do with ur TPI. Everyone here will help you out step by step with what ever you need. Also TPiS sells a sweet book for modifing TPI'S. There website is www.tpis.com They also have a bunch of other books on the subject. Hope that helped ya out

Ok, get this book called TPI Swappers Guide. I have it, and its awesome! It has the GM service manual incase you get an error code, it tells you EXACTLY what to do to find out wtf it is! Rebuilding TPI isnt like rebuilding a carb. Gaskets is basicly what you need. I would try to get the plenum, runners and base cleaned with bead blasting or put on moddified parts. I plan on doing the same thing, only tearing my heads off also along with putting in a new cam... fun fun fun all winter for me! I hope that after all is said and done... i can hit low 14's to high 13's.

Trust me... its one of the best books I have ever found. I originaly got it because it gives some tips on moddifying it... but then I saw this page listed "Code 34" in bold and realized there is a whole troubleshooting section that will describe word for word how to fix an SES code.

I hope you have a 305, because you don't need all that do get into the 13s with a 350! I am running 13.7s on stock untouched TPI components.

I just picked up a SLP Cold Air kit, along with the ported plenum and runners I got on my bench, I hope on going mid 13s. With stock L98 cam.
