howz this setup sound???
I know this may not be the best set up for my IROC, but I have a budget like most people do. but here is what i'm putting into it.
1. 195cc GM heads, with 1.94/1.60 valves.
2. LUNATI 480lift 230 duration cam
3. Headman shorty headers.
4. Magnaflow 2.5inch dual out muffler exhaust
5.CPE subframe connectors
6. 1.6 i believe roller tipped rockers.
7. taking off all the smog stuff.
8.TPI air foil, I know thats nothing great, but so what
9. ram air
10. Modify my MAF
11. MSD Blaster Coil
It has a new block with pistons, rods, and crank. I know this prolly isn't an insane setup for an L98 but its the best I can do. I'm sure the heads won't be great, but I know they will help.
Eventually I will get Stealth Ram for it, and upgrade to full MSD ignition. Wires and pluggs. I will prolly port and polish the heads and prolly my TPI intake for now though. I just want some opinions on my set up.

1st question, are you running a 350 or 305?
For a 305:
195cc heads seem a bit large for what you've got, I'd drop down to 190cc and get them ported and polished.
A small cam will work great in a small motor like a 305, make sure it's a roller and make sure you've got everything adjusted properly. Get bigger injectors, #19s suck
For a 350:
195cc heads ported and polished, GET BIGGER VALVES, why go with crummy 1.94"/1.52" valves when 2.02"/1.60" are available for the same price?
Cam: I'd get a ZZ9 or LT4 hot cam for a 350 and throw an HSR on top to increase airflow
For All:
1 5/8" will be fine for a 305, and good for a mild 350
SFCs always help with traction, get some BMR LCAs while you're at it.
roller tips are useless, you want a roller fulcrum. Roller tips are NOT what make a roller rocker. if you are just gonna cheap out and get roller tips, you might as well buy autozone stock replacements
anything that can increase a usable amout airflow to that motor is good for HP gains.
Free mods in all will net 5 HP.
Coils help a bit, go the extra step and get an ignition box, they are easy to install and cheap on ebay.
all in all, with a 305 and those things, you could hit 13s, 350 you could see 12s

I'm running a 350. like I said before I'm on a budget. I bought the heads that came with 1.94/1.60's. I mean thats better than stock size isn't it. But my question is, what do you think of my set up...I mean thats what I have. I know people have thier oppinions on what to get...but I can't get them..I have what I have...I just want to know what you think I will acheive out of it. What do you think I will gain. Thats all...Just an honest opinion on what I have

The runners on the TPI are gonna be a little
small i find..
They were designed to creat torque.. You're asking for
power up to 6200 ish with that cam ?
whats the code on the heads?
It sounds decent.. since I know you're getting an
other induction setup ..
Good luck
