daily driver need help quick
ok im working on my car today and sunday is when i need to be done but i have a few last min questions so someone please give some advice. im doin the valve seals on my stock tpi 350. some people said unless machined for it heads cant take positive seal. well i think i have stock heads and when i took off the springs the intake had positive. they looked in good shape but the bottom was a little deformed, stretched whatever you want to call it. is this normal wear? also i put positive on the intakes that i already did is this ok for a stocker? also i put new pushrods in and i wanted to know when the slip into the hole how do you know there properly positioned, is it just as simple as if its wrong your arms wont line up and if its right they will?also when the keppers go back on is there anything you need to do to reseat them or is it just if theyre in the right spot they will hold the spring and be flush. and the last concern is im setting the valve lash the way chiltons says, certain valves when at 1 and 6 degrees. should i be confident that when im done my car will start with no claking and all because id hate to have to pull the covers again.
Thankyou anyone please answer i need to know tonight

Put new seals in, mine wern't stretched or deformed...least not until after I removed them
Pushrod install is straight forward, they'll sit in the "cup" of the lifter, just spin'em a bit on the way in, you'll feel it's correct.
Once the keepers are in, give the top of the valve a tap or two to seat them, use a peice of brass block, or better yet use a brass hammer.
Keep the rockers loose and adjust only the ones called for, then rotate the motor and adjust the rest, this way you won't run the risk of compressing a lifter on the ones you're not adjusting.
