Good mods for a reliable 305TPI...

Hi all, I am going to do some mods to my 88, and want to maintain a good daily driving attitude but be capable of some low 14's or high 13's N/A. The car is a 1988 Formy with 305 TPI, fresh rebuild 7K ago, M5 and 3.42's on 10 bolt. I was thinking along the lines of LT headers with true duals(like my 95, but with real mufflers), a good clutch, LT1 cam(or LT4 hotcam,I already have both due to my 95), LT4 valve springs, programming, and minor mods like CAI and such. I believe the LB9 heads are iron in 88, so some aluminum heads, too. Is this a possibility?

I already plan on doing a complete suspension to this car, lowering springs, APHR, LCA's poly bushings, new shocks/struts, etc.

TIA...

Edit: I forgot to add, I have some 24lb stock LT1 injectors off of my 95, would they help with the LB9 and programming, with aforementioned mods?

I read that 24lb are to big for a N/A 305 that said the 21lb 350tpi injectors are good for a 305 with heads cam etc.

I think it was in GMHTP

OK, cool, I was wondering about that. I figrured I probably wouldn't have that big of an issue with it, anyway.

350's have 22#. You can put an AFPR and it should give you enuff fuel for a heads and cam swap.

And Hey HM Murdock, taking some time off LS1.com?

Aside from the valve springs, you shouldn't have to touch the heads to get to where you want to go. I've run 13.8 at 97mph with just bolt-ons. The camshaft should really wake the 305 up along with the suspension work, should put you solidly in the 13's. The key is getting the short times in the 1.90-2.00 range.
