There's a knocking sound coming from the driver side of the engine aby, somewhere torwards to back. Increases and decreases speed with revs. Doesn't sound like rockers; it's a heavier knock. Can't pinpoint where it's coming from becasue It can only be heard good from inside the car and idle-1500rpm -- K&N is too loud otherwise. Anyone have any clue what's goin' on?

That would be my guess. Spun a main bearing and now one of your pistons it hitting the head. Difficult to diagnose without being there.

Then again it could be somethign else, better hope it is man cause $$$, that explains it all lol.

 

could be a main or rod bearing,maybe the wrist pin. if u take the plug-wire off the cylender thats knocking does the knock go away,thats a good way to check.

 

If it were the piston, it would be a loud knock, yes? This knock is very faint and you can only hear it if you're listening for it. And only barely from the passenger seat. But anyway, I'll check that with the spark plug wire.

Either way, my warranty should cover it.
