alright guys, need some help
Alright since I'm forbidden to say d00d now from almost everyone I'm going start saying man; like when I was a little kid. Ok so I soon want to get a 350 TPI engine or at least the block, and put it into my car. I know its pretty much a direct bolt in replacement.
So my question is what will I need to do to the engine to get at least 275+ HP from this engine?
I was thinking about getting the LT4 conversion that's made for the LT1, but I was going ask you guys if it would still bolt onto the 350. It comes with the LT4 manifold, LT4 heads, LT4 hotcam, and gaskets. Will this fit on with the exception of the manifold needing to be modified to bolt on. That d00d john from LT1intake.com can do the stuff for $200 and then I can bolt it on. For the LT1 engine once the conversion is made the kit guarantees 425HP, which would give me quite a bit more HP then what I will have.
Next if I don't get the LT4 kit thing, I wont get an LT1 so don't even try, I need something to brag about and few people on here have the LT4 in their car. I want to stick with fuel injection because I like it better and its more dependable. So if i stay with the TPI manifold what will I have to-do to get that 275HP from that engine. If I get that 275HP will I pretty much be maxing out that engine or will their be more room for more power. I like superchargers and turbos but what lots of power from strait engine. No NOS or any poweradders.
So what can I do, I'd like to spend no more than $4000 for the entire swap, which means the $650 engine and what ever else. If you guys have a another engine to be better tell me.
Shane

This is close to your 4k max but all you'd need to do is bolt on your TPI, do a prom chip and there you have 360 HP
