new motor
Well i finally got around to building the new motor the the chevelle. Its a 400 thats a 509 block bored .030 with flat top 4 valve relieve pistons. Heads are just the 882 heads off the 350 with a lil port work to get by for right now till i get some more income. The cam is a crane pn# CRN-133801 that specs out at 278/290 adv(222/234 @050) with 467/494 lift.
With the c950 doing the work its idling nice and cruisin down the road real good. Its got a lot more power than the old 350 did and traction is going to be a real problem seeing how it will just fry the tires through first and half of second gear. With just 2000 rpm worth of stall this motor realy has tons of torque down low. Cant wait to take it to the track when the time comes. if i can get it to hook almost perfect it might get me in the low 12's hopefully. with the car being close to 4000lbs it'll be hard.
