Need opinions..please help.

I need opinions as to what I will run with my new setup. I am hoping to be in the low 13 to high 12 on motor, and a second faster on nitrous. Where do you think I will be with this setup,

Motor: Stock bottom end, TPiS Miniram, WP Torquer heads, LT4 hotcam kit w/1.6 roller rockers, BBK 58mm tb, K&N conical filter, ported MAF, Hypertech tb airfoil, 180* stat, Hypertech cool fan switch, !A/C, SVO 24lb injectors, new timing chain and gears.

Ignition: MSD 6a, MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD coil, Accel 8.8's, A/C Delco's

Tranny: 700R4 w/3000 TCI conveter, B&M shift kit, B&M servo, B&M power clutch pack, Flexlite tranny cooler

Tuning: TPiS prom. Custom burned for my application..only time will tell

Exhaust: Edelbrock TES headers, !cat, 3"Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back

Power Adder: NX 150hp Wet kit.

Suspension: Eibach sportlines, KYB shocks and struts, Matco sfc's, Lakewood adjustable panhard bar, Sphon LCA's, Sphon LCA brackets

Traction: Nitto 555R's

All fluids will be Royal Purple. 10W30, Ice coolant, etc...

My race track is at sea level. And temps are usual in the 30's..or 80's American. I have done nothing to save weight, I want a pure street car. And anything that I haven't listed is stock.

Thanks.

Those times will be easy with that setup as long as you can get the tune right. IMHO, why ruin that setup by running the WP heads? You can be deep in the 12's (low 12's) with a better set of heads and a really good tune. That's very deep 11's on the juice.

I'm not crazy about the PROM choice either. Had two and nothing but problems with them; others report the same thing.

Just my thoughts.

A friend told me the same thing about the heads, after I bought them! So I'm gonna wait and see what results I get before I spend another couple grand on a set of heads. If I do get another set it will be a set of AFR 195's. As for the tune, again I will have to wait and see to draw my own conclusions.

I agree on the head selection being poor. For about the same price of the WP heads you could/should have bought TrickFlows.

TPIS prom is probably going to be your real downfall.

Not power related (well kinda), did you get the headers hot coated? If not you'll be kicking yourself after a few months of driving. Coat them inside and out and it'll help with power (expell heat better).

Another thing. Did you getthe B&M transpack or did you go with the "super trans kit"? The difference being that the "super" kit is a complete ground up rebuild of the trans, all with hi-perf parts.

I would get a TCI Streetfighter 700R4 or a Probuilt 700R4. They correct a lot more and make a very tough 700R4! The B&M stuff will help an otherwise stock 700R4, but it won't last under the shot IMO.

Probuilt or TCI all the way.
