I have an 89 IROC L98/700R4 with a 9 bolt 2.73 posi. I currently own, but haven't installed on this car, a set of 1 3/4" SLP (non AIR), a 3" Hooker catback, a Jacob's Prostreet ignition system and have a 3.73 10 bolt posi too.

With the following set up, what rear end gearing would you chose and what stall speed? Keep in mind, this would still be a daily driver, road manners are more important than 1 tenth in the 1/4.

Here's the set up:

Stealth Ram
Trick Flow 23* heads
LT4 Hot Cam
1 3/4" SLP's
3" hooker catback

I'd like to get it right the first time....no swapping major parts, just minor tuning and suspension upgrades.

So what torque converter and rear end?

Sounds like a nice combination that will make nice power and still have street manners.

Do you have the specs on the heads? Port CCs, flow numbers, combustion chamber CCs; etc?

2.02/1.60 195cc intake ports, 64cc combustion chamber.
I don't remember the flow numbers though.

3.73's
2800 Stall

It's a proven setup with the HOT Cam.
