Fuel System
Alright I know I have a problem with my fuel system. My friend bought this Firebird Formula 350. He had it and it needed a new fuel filter because it kept dying. Then he took it to a shop and it needed new injectors because it kept dying. After all that I bought the car from him. Now every once and a while the throttle will just cut out. Like when im flooring it just stops as if I let completely off the gas. What would you do first. I don’t much about cars except for the basics. Also I refuse to take it to a dealer. It’s a 350TPI.

I had the exact problem on my IROC a little while ago. After replacing the VATS, Fuel pump, and relays, it turned out to be the ground wire from the ECM to the distributor. Corrision ate right through it and fried the module as well. I'd pull the cap and have a really good look at the connections and the module itself. if the module looks ok, you may want to , just for the heck of it, get some dielectric gel and re-apply to the module. Thats all I got....

Would my problems might be caused by a bad vaccum hose. I found my it was completly split. Im hoping that was it. I got a new tube and everything seems fine for now.

Really bad vacuum leaks can cause engines to stall and many other various drivability problems. So, if it works now, then I say you found your culprit...
