Turbo intake

i asked this same question in the power adder forum but i thought maybe some people in here might be of a little more help.

im lookin at goin twin turbo but cant decide on the intake to use. obviously based on my sig you can see i have a trans am so that means i cant really use the HSR with a stock hood. i know i can clearence it but i dont really want to fool with that.

would the super ram be a good choice for twin turbos and a powerband of about 2000-6500 rpm on a 355? or what other option should i look into? i dont really want to do the LT1 intake because of the external thermo mounting cuz of all the intake piping the turbos will have.

what do you guys think?

I'd stick with the TPI intake because once you pressurize the intake charge all the regular rules for LTR intakes go out the window.

John is saying that you should save the money that you would have spent on an aftermarket intake, and just use the stock tpi setup.

Exactly, since you plan on a boost power adder there's no since changing the TPI intake just yet. All the standard rules about the TPI intake falling on it's face after 4500 rpm ore void after you introduce boost into the mix. In other words, you changed the rules of the game in your favor. The intake no longer becomes a restriction when you apply boost to it.

Save your money that you would have spent on an aftermarket intake and swap out your stock ECM for a SY/TY ECM and a 2 bar MAP sensor. Oh ya, bigger fuel injectors are a must also with your buildup. There are other things but these are the important ones that come to mind right now.
