Is there a tech article on TPI to Carb swaps?

I can't find one on here.

In case anybody was wondering why I'm interested in a swap when a TPI systems appearance is menacing enough to scare away a ****-Tuner, well, I found out this 'Pseudo-IROC' I bought is just that, a look alike. And it doesn't have a 350, it has a 305.

So if I am going to do a 350 engine swap I'm going to put a proper engine in it - with a Demon 650 and an Air Gap intake.

I need to know exactly what all this computer junk is wired into so I can make sure it's ALL eliminated and I don't have any surprises when I go to drive this thing.

Any help appreciated.

Since when does the word **** qualify as a term that needs to be censored? Does Uncle Ben know about this?

Here is a search I did for you..

Your best bet if your going with a carb is to get the wiring harness from an older F body that used a carb instead of EFI or TPI. This way you will have all you need. Such as the conection for the Temp guage, the Distributor etc. Also try to get as many scamatics as you can to help with the swap.

Swapping out the wiring harness seems like a lot of trouble. All I did was cut off the few connections that I wasn't going to be using, like the injectors and MAF connectors. I left all the other sensors/senders for the gauges alone. Only things to tackle without the computer is wiring it so the fuel pump relay functions (or just replace it with a mechanical pump), and a fan switch of somekind (I just wired mine up on all the time down here, a manual switch would be easy too). I don't remember much tricky at all, pulling the wiring harness and buying another one would seem like a pain with not a whole lot of benefit to me...
