How to delete heater valve?

Guys, this is my first time posting on here, even tho i've been browsing this forum for a month..

I've got a '87 Z28 with a 305 TPI, and i've done a few mods, TB bypass, removed smog equip, etc.. but that damn Heater valve sure is ugly looking just hanging on my valve cover.. is there any way to re-route the hoses to where i can get rid of it? or will it screw up my a/c?

I did it to mine, I ran a hose from the front of the intake to the heater core, then from the heater core to the radiatior for the return line, it worked out fine for me, although it may not be as clean as the original heater diverter valve. I will take a picture when I get home, if you would like.

Why not just move it? I moved mine when I got rid of the AIR system. It now resides next to the blower fan in front of the A/C box. Just needed about a 6' section of heater hose to route from the manifold to the valve. I can get you a pic if need be.
dj haf, you could probably just remove yours since you live in the sunshine state it probably doesn't get much use.
