LT1 Heads
I bought a set of LT1 Aluminum heads and am planning on following tpi_roc's instructions in his thread. Questions:
1. With the cooling ports blocked, will the heads not overheat?
2. I'll be using an LT1 intake, so what will I not have to have done to the intake?
3. This will be in my daily driver, any problems there?
4. Does an LT1 intake require a specific ECM or will my 165 do?
5. Any other problems anyone forsees?
Thanks

1) the coolant ports aren't blocked, the stock big coolant holes are plugged, but a new smaller round hold is drilled using a standard small block head gasket as a template.
2) you will only need the distributor mod done, and EGR block off plates.
3)I wouldn't forsee any problems. Still workin on my intake conversion though. John has done almost 100 intake conversions for people, and has started a feedback page on his site. Read some of the stuff there to maybe get an idea of how well the people with converted intakes are running.
4)Stock ecm will do, as it will hook up to your injectors, IAC, and TPS sensors. just extend the coolant temp sender lines, and relocate your IAT sensor.
