Who has an accel 300+ ignition for the 87 up external coil setup?
If you have one, will you please make me a shematic of the wiring harness it uses to plug into the factory harness, coil, and distributor?

First connector from the box (flat connector) red wire to red in harness, black to black, brown to white and yellow to pink.
Second connector (square one) only 2 wires are used to connect in the harness, green to green and white to white.
In Harness black goes to engine ground.
Green and red connect to stock harness coil connector.
Pink and white connect to the coil.
Red and white connect in the distributor.
The stock wiring that is connect between the distributor and the coil you won't need it anymore. (I suggest that you keep that wiring in your car so if you Accel box dies you will be able to go back to the stock set up) And with the Accel 300+ only one side of the coil is connected.
Hope this help a little if you need more details let me know.

PAT, you're great!
The last questions I have are what order do the wires go on the coil and the distributor?
If looking straight at the connector while it's plugged into the distributor, does the white go on the left and the red on the right or vice-versa?
I still have a GM style remote coil, can I still use it?
If so, with the connector side of the coil towards you with the connector plugged in, does the connector go on the left or right set of terminals?
From the same angle but looking down at the coil connection, does the white go on top and pink on bottom or vice-versa?
Does the white from the flat connector go to the distributor and the white from the square got to the coil or vice-versa?
Thanks.

And I have know way to know for sure how are the wires match together at the stock coil connector were the green and white go, since the wires are at 90 degre angle from each other in there respective connector.
Hope this help so far, if you want me to test my harness to wich one goes were for sure let me know.

Yeah, if you could test the harness to trace down the whites, I'll be clear on them.
On the green and red wires that run to the connector that plugs into the car's wiring harness; if looking at the back of the plug where the wires go into it and with the locking tab facing upwards, is the green on the left and the red on the right or vice-versa?
That should solve everything.
Thanks again Pat.

Flat connector white go to coil.
Square connector white go to distributor.
I can't give you the right answer to this one. The connector on the harness has the same look than the part of the coil were both connectors go (like if that part of the coil was cut off and used as a connector).
Only one side is used for the car stock coil connector, so when I look under the Accel connector the green wire is on the same side that the car connector and the red is on the side that as no use.
The red is used but I can't take the connector apart.
If you look at your car wiring diagram and find what are the purpose of both wire from that connector you will probably be able to match them with the Accel one.
From Accel the red should go to 12 volts ingnition switch.
The green attaches to electric tachometer's signal lead.
Hope this help.

Pat you're the greatest!
I'll find a wiring diagram for the coil connector to see which one is which. You've been a big help. Thank You.

On the connector that goes to the car's coil connector:
Red goes to red (switched 12 volt)
Green goes to white (tach signal)
Case closed!
Thanks again Pat.

Or you could go directly to Accel's Instruction Sheets. Look for the 49321.
