port what and buy what?

I have free access to a machinist and machine shop (my dad). I'm planning to build a 350 TPI setup with my 305 TPI and the question is should I just buy the larger TPIS runners (so they are the larger diameter the whole way) and port match my stock base, plenum and TB to get the most bang for my buck (and get the most use out of my dad)?

I'm going to have some nicely ported stock heads, headers, and a mild cam.

Just wondering before I have him start doing all this work. Thanks for your opinions.

Hrm.. how do their runners compare to the siamesed ASM ones?

All of the "siamesed" runners on the market, are only siamesed for about 1 inch, and are a cheap aluminum casting. You would be better off with a stock runner.
I find that sorta amusing. *shrug

I just saw the TPIS were about 1.6" diameter and that would be feasible to port the stock plenum and intake to 1.6", and the TPIS are only $250, I didn't find any other runners under $400.

I'm sure there is much bigger and better than what I am looking at though.

$250?
I went to their website and they are $475.

For runners, I have no experience (yet ), but I know that a lot of guys here are kind of partial to the SLP set. Granted, they are very nice, but I'm still kind of stuck on how you got the $250.
