Accel inj. vs ford inj.

I talked to ed wright and he was telling me that they don't even bother w/ the accel inj. b/c they're crap. I know I've seen a bunch of different people on here that have run the accels w/ good luck. I understand that the fords are rated at a different psi than the accels, but I just bought 30# not knowing. Will it hurt me that much to use the accels? Or am I better off eating $230 and buying another set from ford?

I've had the 24# Accels since about 140,000 miles with no mechanical or performance problems. I did have problems with leaking o-rings after install, due to small yellow plastic shavings from the injector body stuck behind the o-rings. Luckily, I pressurized the system after I installed the fuel rails to check for leaks before completing the job. I'd remove all the o-rings and check for crap in the grooves, others have posted about the same in the past.

I have had 30# Accell injectors for over 2 years. No problems at all. I did not even have the o-ring problem that was mentioned above. A simple install and I have forgotten about them, if you know what I mean...

I have been running the Accel 30# injectors for about three years. Although I have only put about 300 miles on the car in that time(but they have been hard miles). They fit good and work well.

My 2 cents worth is everything ive ever used from accel has been garbage and their injectors are finally coming down to real world price where everyone elses have been. I still think the Ford Inj are a better design and u can get them anywhere at moments notice and up to 30# are 200-220$ ....

Its all i use now and ive never loked back

I've always used the SVO Ford injectors and never had any reason to switch to anything else. They are the best buy for the money as far as a new injector goes. Ford's fuel injection stuff is about the best there is. They've done it right since the beginning, unlike the General.
