You need a lot I mean A LOT of work done to it to put out that much horse power. To the TPI and engine. It is attainable to reach 500 ft./lb torque without much trouble though. SLPs are not the best choice for runners if that was the plan either. You are probably looking at an entire aftermarket set-up. HSR, minni-ram, SR, or LT1. Of course you could super/turbocharge.

If you are talking about long tube runners, then I think it would be very difficult. Although, the FIRST long tube runner unit looks as tho it breaths enough for 500RWHP. The most I think you'd be able to get with ported plenum, ported SLP runners, and ported aftermarket base would be around 400RWHP. The FIRST stuff is very big compared to everything else.

If you are talking about maybe getting one of the high rpm intakes (hsr, lt1, miniram, suprram) then I think it can absolutley support 500RWHP.

Tuning is an assumption.

You need to change intakes. I had tpi and swapped to HSR because the ported tpi intake I had would only put out 4500rpms max. After that it would flat line. You could buy an HSR setup for 500 dollars (intake, box and rails). SLP runners are around 250 (wont need them for this). And you could use a stock TB for the HSR and save money there as well. The tpi intake will support 500hp but you will be happier going a different route.
