If N10 is in the RPO codes, it should have them...

This is incorrect; it was only available by option.

If its a single cat, then you're cursed with the dreaded 2.77 9-bolt rear end.

Does it have t-tops? If so, then you know its a single cat car, as well.

I've seen plenty of ttop cars with dual cats.

Don't worry about the 9bolt. It's a good rear, but the 2.77's will suck. A good majority of the L98 cars came with 10 bolts anyway, so don't worry about it until you get the car and find out what you've got.

I have a 89 iroc that has t-tops and had a 2.77 rear and came with single cats. Swapped the rear for $100 to a 3.27 9 bolt posi.
There itsn't that much a difference at only 10hp. between single and duel cats.
