Over the last year I have had many problems getting my car to run rite. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor, distributor magnet, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator . I have a 5.7 350 TPI.

It still runs like crap. The timing is set so it will start but not run once it gets warm. It has no power until you hit third gear, and then it bursts out with a bunch of energy.

Considering all of the work I have done, I have narrowed it down to the injectors as five of the eight had bad readings. If this is what is wrong, what are my best options? Buy new ones or get them re-built being that I have a limited cash flow. I priced out new ones at $88 a piece.

What should I do?

You have multec injectors, in short they are garbage. Gasoline comes into contact with the coil to "cool" it, over time the gas erodes the protective coating on the injectors thus giving the bad ohm readings.Once Multecs go bad they are history. Get yourself a set of Acells. I paid $229.00 for a complete set of 8 two years ago and so far so good. They are probably your best budget bet. I bought mine from cruzin performance, rich is a real good guy to deal with. You can also try and find a set of Ford SVO injecotrs. You might be able to find them used and then send them to cruzin performance to have them cleaned and matched.I'm not sure which model of SVO you need. This question should probably be moved to the TPI board.

You can get a set of 8 for about 28 bucks each if you buy the set of 8. Ford SVO's are 219.00 and accels are about 250.00. You can order them from Summit or Jegs and the other place that zedder mentioned. There are several other places to order from as well. Also, unless you plan on doing some prom burning stick with the poundage you have now on the injectors. If they are 21's then replace with 21's. etc... Speed density doesnt handle changes very well.
