tpi progress

Hey guys.. thanks for all the help on selecting the right cam for my tpi rebuild. Now I have another question.. I have found a set of 350 heads casting number 14102193.. does anyone know anything about these heads? I know that it does have the larger intake valve, which is a plus.. but I'm not sure if it would be a good choice for this engine. my block is .060 by the way and yes it will be ported and polished

I just put together a 355 with 14102193 heads, ported and polished. But I'm waiting to see how it works out. I'll let you know when I find out.....I should know in a couple days if things go right.

man. that sounds great. I did read that these heads are not for high performance because of a casting swirl (?) on the intake chamber.. did you see any of that when you ported yours? Did you happen to take any pics of the porting job?

No I didn't take pics....I don't know about them robbing horse power, but I know he(professionally done) did a good bowl job. And I did see the swirl ports...but oh well...I mean I don't have enough money right now for AFRS.....so this is what I have...orginally I had them done for my 94 truck...But I had them so I decided to just use them and see what happens....I'm hoping tomorrow I will start my engine for the first time...So I'll let you know...peace
