K&N AirFilters

I was wondering if this filter would work on my 89 iroc it fits right on the TB and bypasses the MAF? or is there any other brand that sells this. i just want the look of the filter right on the TB.
Thanks,

Doing a search will give you all the information you need about this. In short if you eliminate the MAF sensor your car will be totally useless.

Even the cars with the Speed Density setup would be sucking in hot air with that filter. I'd go CAI.

If you have the dual snorkel intake, then cut off the bottoms of the airboxes and you're set. It's a great intake. Cold air and free flowing.

Hey souperman28, this is what i did: get a 88-89 Firebird intake duct($30 if you buy it brand new, but you could pickup a used one for way cheaper), go to autozone and pick up a nice polished aluminum honda civic cold air kit($30), then get a 7X3 K&N cone air filter($30) and there you go. You dont even have to move the battery, unless you want to. If your car is MAF, the MAF sensor will fit perfectly between the intake duct and CAI. I also drilled a hole in the intake duct to relocate the IAT sensor. It looks really cool and is better than the stock setup.
