TPI Injecor Help
TPI Injecor Help
I'm trying to upgrade a TPI unit that was on a 305 to put on a freshly rebuilt 355. I purchased 24# units to replace the 19# ones. When I went to replace them, I noticed the new 24# injectors were shorter than the 19# injectors I removed. When I installed the new injectors, they went into the fuel rail fine, but are set a bit shallow in the manifold. The port for the injector sort of "shrouds" the injector. Is this normal, or do I need to get the longer injectors to do the upgrade? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not sure about your particular situation, but when I bought my Accel 24# injectors (a few years ago) they were shorter than the stock ones. I believe my stock injectors were 21# Bosch.
Hope this helps.

My Accels had two notches to put the clip in. Make sure that yours are installed on the tallest notch.
