If tuned properly, the vortec 305. It has the potential to move alot more air than the naturally aspirated 350.

Do a search for member "*****" He has a 305 TPI running an ATI intercooled centrifugal setup running DEEP into the 12's

If this is a "which one should I build question", You could build a pretty stout 350 for the price of the supercharger ($3000) for the 305. Willie has AFR heads, a hot cam, full aftermarket TPI, etc to boot, not just a stock 305 with the S/C stuck on... For the money I'd go the 350 route, that way you end up with a new/rebuilt motor that is making more power than just the old 305 TPI with the S/C stuck on (most likely anyway, power may be close).

If this was just a theoretical race question the 305 with the S/C would win vs a stock 350 TPI with just exhaust mods.

I'm with him on that one. Especially if your shortblock has higher miles. You will have all kinds of problems with heavy blowby under boost, compression issues, and premature wear problems.

You could build a decent 350 for $3000, easily put down 300-350 hp, and like ray said, you'd have a brand new motor.

BTW, I think I read that ***** is using alcohol injection along with a small shot of nitrous to cool the intake charge. He's getting in pretty deep with that setup
