why not just use the LT1 intake? it would be much easier than trying to get the restrictive TPI to work. Just my .02

Are you still running the stock L98 heads? If so then the only way you can use the LT1 intake is if you get it from John Millican or if you want to take the time to mod one yourself to make it work. John's come modded so that they work with stock L98 heads...all wiring and everything is the same.

I don't think you could use the TPI with the LT1 heads due to the fact that LT1's are a reverse flow...but don't hold me to it. I don't know if the intake would really matter, all I know for sure is that if you were using a stock LT1 intake you wouldn't be able to use L98 heads.

You will have to drill the LT1 intake bolt pattern on the TPI intake. You would also have to block off the water ports on the TPI intake.

Go out and buy a SBC intake gasket and lay it on your LT1 heads and see what will line up and what won't.

Because the TPI intake will make more TQ on heavy cars with a STOCK LT1 engine. Perfect example is a Caprice.

The intake manifold itself doesn't care if you have a LT1 or TPI computer.
