i have a 86 z28 that is carbed and i was wondering how difficult it would be to change to tpi and about how much it might cost, thanks

 

Dude, I hate to break it to you, but you're probably not going to get many answers in this thread. This topic has been covered big time. Do a search on the boards, and I guarantee you that you will find a LOT of useful information. I think you'd get more help by asking specific questions (that haven't already been covered) than what you just asked. Also, do a search at the Chevy Hi-Performance website. They did an article about swapping a TPI into a non-thirdgen, but I'm sure the steps are quite similar. Get ready to do a lot of reading, man. You'll find ALL of the answers about TPI swaps.
