porting/polishing Q's...

Recently i have been on a kick trying to find little things to do to improve the appearance of my car and wanted to do something in the engine bay to make it look nicer. I have seen a lot of polished TPI's and it makes me drool. Just have a few questions before i start (or if i can start).

1) How long does it take (on average) and how involved is it to port the pluenum, runners (i hear runners can be ported but dont know if it can be ported that much) and then polish them (including TB)?

2) I hear porting the intake manifold isn't worth the risk and just isn't worth it?

3) Where can i find the steps to do all this?

4) Porting wont effect the Custom chip i had done?

Im trying to also improve HP wherever i can for free that also isn't illeagle hence the porting. I also going to be making a custom CAI since it only going to cost about $40 and improves looks as well if done right. I probably wont do this if it takes way to long (cant have the car off the road too long) or is way to involved or over my head.

Thanks in advance!

Another question.

What kind of gain could i see if i had the stock intake manifold ported and siamesed (sp?) along with the runners and pluenum, polished it, installed an air foil, custom CAI (nothing too fancy), and the TB bypass mod?
I heard somewhere that with some mods things like this will have a big improvement. Just currious what i could possibly gain. My mods are in the sig.
