355ci. - make me fast!

I got a buddy with a 355, SLP intake, Dart Iron Eagle heads and some cam i dont even know what it is.. He's had a rough time putting together a combo (heads/cam), his bottom end is all forged, nice and strong, just the heads cam and intake needs help, what do u recommend? He'd like to try to keep the heads and possibly the intake too but lemme know ur opinions, if its worth it, whats the max potential.. I guess all in all he's looking for around 400 horse NA if not more, what heads/cam/intake would u recommend to him..

ok first off sounds like he did the right thing with the bottom end and heads and the such. But I take it hes still runnin the stock LTR tuned port set-up. That intake system will take way to much work to get it to the 400N/A mark. So I would recommend going with any of these intakes. All will get you to the 400 N/A mark easily.

1) TPiS Mini-ram
2) LT1 intake
3) Accel Super- ram
4) Holley Stealth-ram

These four would be ur best bet to getting the 400 N/A mark, but I would also ask alot of questions and reasearch be4 choosing a cam. I could list pages of cams but u know its all about what u want the end product to be, mild to wild. So pic the cam last and even go as far as calling a cam grinder and tell em all the specs of ur car and what it will be used for and they will get u the perfect cam!!

Did this help ya any?

Jason

If he already has SLP runners, he can port the plenum and stock base - but I don't know about 400 RWHP. Maybe close to 400RWTQ though!

Well i was thinknig of telling him to sell the dart heads and pick up a set of Brodix aluminum heads or soemthing, and also go with a solid roller camshaft, i think that'll give everything a real good kick in the pants.. I also agree with the Mini-ram, opinions?
