Confusing no start

The car will start off a boost, maintain a steady smooth idle, will stay running after cables have been removed, I took it for a little ride, no problems. After the car is shut off it will not start unless it has a boost. It will just crank the starter 1 or 2 times very slowly. I've got a new Alt, starter, battery. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Maybe a simple, but hard to find loose wire?
The car is an 87 GTA TPI 305.

When you have the car running, what does the voltage gauge read? If it's under 12v then the alternator is not charging the battery. If this is the case and the alternator is good, the problem HAS to be the 20amp fan fuse in the fuse block. The f terminal on the alternator (TAN/WHT wire) is connected to the 20 amp fan fuse. If this is not connected to a (igniton) power source, the alternator does not charge.
