Newbie with tpi compatibility questions. I was wondering if anyone has ran a gear drive with a knock sensor?

Yes they are. The standard Pete Jackson gear drive is not compatible with your knock sensor. What you need to get is the "quite" gear drive for factory roller cams. If you really want one here is what you want:

Jegs:
782-350-91C SB-Chevy with Factory Roller Cam (excluding LT1) $152.99

Summit:
PJJ-350-91C Small Chevy: 305, 350 with factory roller cam (exc. 1992-up LT1), "quiet " gear drive $152.95

There are plenty of people on these boards running these drives.

The only people that will say you cant are those who havent tried it. They're re-quoting from what they've read elsewhere.

IIRC Tim Burgess is actually using a noisy drive. I'm running a 'quiet' drive, if you can call it that. Its still loud, IMO. The knock sensor on my car doesnt care about the PJ, it only has a fit when there's actual detonation going on.

TPI? From a Team G and 750 carb? I think you're going to be disappointed.
