Fuel Pump/Relay question

Should the FP relay activate the pump to prime the fuel rails everytime you cycle the ignition key without starting the car or is there some wait time?

The ECM will not prime the fuel pump every time on the MAF system. I seem to have noticed that the speed density ECM turns the pump on for a few seconds with the ken in ON every time. Could be wrong. But I'm postitive that the ECM does not prime the pump every time for the MAF system.

Thanks

Can anybody with a speed density setup verify this?

I say this because when I started making MAF harnesses, it seemed strange that the fuel pump did not always run when I turned the key to 'run'.

If I wasn't so sick with a nasty cold and sinus pressure, I'd go down to the garage and verify this.

The fuel pump audibly primes each time I turn the key on my MAF car. You should be able hear the buzz/whirr noise of it priming for the first 2-4 seconds after turning the key.
