Tuning "how to" question
Ok, my engine is almost back together. It's an L98, that now has SLP headers, and a ZZ4 cam. The overwhelming majority of you have said that the ZZ4 cam will run just fine on the stock chip. That being said, what kind of tuning will be needed? Just timing, right? What should I look for? I'm assuming I'll start at 6 degrees, and go from there?
...I know physically "how" to adjust timing, but not really what to look and listen for.
Thanks!

You need to hook up a scanner and watch for the computer pulling advance out due to detonation. Ideally you would be on a chassis dyno and then you would be able to adjust for peak power. The most I'd move it up is about 12 degrees even with no spark retard due to detonation.

I don't plan on keeping the prom forever, but I'm gonna wait until I have all the parts that I'm planning on installing, and then doing it all at once.
...heck, a stock L98 can benefit from a chip!
