Is an LT1 MAF a direct swap-in?

I'm just curious because I've seen these somewhat cheap and they are full 3" (from what I've read), and I'm going to be making my own CAI for my TA very similar to the ideas in our tech articles and would like to keep the piping 3" without any adapters for the slightly-smaller-than-3" stock MAF. I'm not going to spend a couple hundred on a new one either, so if the LT1 won't swap in, then I'll live with it.

I am 99% sure they are NOT interchangable. You may do some PROM tuning to get it to work, but thats more headache than most are willing to bear.

They're frequency whereas the TPI sensor is voltage; won't work w/out major hacking.
