Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

Guys:-

I'm looking for some help finding part numbers for a coolant fan switch for a 1989 350 L98 TPI. It's the one located on the passenger side cylinder head between #6 and #8. It's the one used on cars with dual fans, to control the secondary cooling fan.

The problem is I'm in the UK and really need a GM / AC Delco part number or a similar aftermarket one. Basically so I can source it quickly over here.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have been searching but haven't found what I'm looking for....

This link tells of GP Sorenson part numbers for various switches with different temp thresholds:-
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...AN+SWITCH+part

I believe the part from NAPA is "Echlin Ignition Coolant Fan Switch
Item#: ECHFS112 Price: $ 15.49" on this link:-http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/NAPAonline/search_results_product_detail.d2w/report?prrfnbr=15591679&prmenbr=5806

If you are looking for a lower temp fan switch another option is an adjustable switch. Permacool, Painless, Flex a Lite, and Summit all offer either lower temp or adjustable fan switches and installation is a breeze.

AC Delco #154373 Which also cross references to #10045782

Here is a link to a Picture of it http://www.rockauto.com/ref/ACDelco/15-4373.jpg

Now if you need more info on this Go to https://www.rockauto.com/applet3.html then go down and click CHEVROLET then Click1989 then click on CAMARO then Click on 5.0L 305 V8 MFI Then Click On Electrical-Switch & Relay Then Click on Raditor Fan Temp Switch. I find Rock Auto as a very Very hand part# cross refrence Very Very Often. Hope I helped.

That ACdelco part you have listed, what are the specs on it??? When does it turn on, and when does it turn off?? I desperately need a new fan switch and id really like to go with delco parts.

Also, does anyone have the G/N fan switch ac delco part # and will that fit into a 1992 z28 w/ the Lb9????

Hate to bring a post back from the dead here, but do these part numbers cross reference with the 3053190 Grand National switch, or something else?

Roostmeyer posted the part number for the Grand National 200* switch and yes its a direct bolt in for our f-bodies.

Re: Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

Thanks, I was wondering if those were the cross reference numbers for it though as the parts guys around here aren't the greatest.

Is the 203' GN switch the lowest on-setting factory switch? I'd rather not get into aftermarket replacements that are hard to find around here.

Re: Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

OLD I KNOW.

Do you think the hypertech 4026 (176 on, 166 off) is too cold for a stock lb9?

Otherwise i might go to the part store tomarrow and get the Grand national switch (210 on, 200 off).

Any opinions welcome!

Re: Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

I hope so because I just ordered one from TPI Parts. I think it probably would because when I sent my order forms to the person who just burnt a custom PROM chip for me I mentioned I intended to use this switch and asked that the primary fan on/off settings be set to work with this switch.

Re: Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

Its too cold with a stock 195* thermostat. The fan would run all the time. You'd need a 160* or at most a 180* thermostat.

Re: Coolant Fan Switch Part Number for 1989 TPI

I have a Mr. Gasket high flow 160*F thermostat. Which was one of the questions the PROM programmer wanted to know.
