porting

i have the chance to buy large runners and bigger throtle body real cheap for my 1992 350 tpi. So should i port ot my plenum to match the runners and the t.b. How much will the runners and t.b help. The car also has headers, cold air intake, jet chip. also what size injectors should i put in it?

definatly port the plenum, If you want bigger gains replace the baseplate with an aftermarket one while you have every thing off. also do an adjustable F.P. regulator while you're in there. Injectors? unless your making silly horsepower the stock ones should be fine. They are easy to change anytime-Mike

I would,if your plan is to get more air to the cylinders, then free up all passages that lead in. If you browse around lots of guys are doing just what you are asking. Although my motor is not a 350, all this is done including heads and cam. My chip is tweaked some and I am using SVO 19lbs injectors and they can keep up with the increased air flow so my guess is your stock injectors will do the same. Good luck.

Sure, port the runners and whatnot. i doubt you will really gain anything significant with the TB. What about the baseplate?

Any good machine shops in North Jersey or NYC area that can port a stock TPI setup?

What's the normal cost of doing this?

Regards,
G
