Question On Aftermarket Runners
Question On Aftermarket Runners
I HAVE A 88 IROC-Z 5.7 TPI WITH THE FOLLOWING MODS OPEN AIR ELEMENTS WITH K&N AIR FILTERS, GUTTED MAF, AIR FOIL, NICE DYNOMAX CAT BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM, JET FAN SWITCH AND 180 SUPERSTAT, AFTERMARKET IGNITION UPGRADES AND AN EXTENSIVE TUNEUP HAS BEEN DONE AND DOWN RIGHT THIS ENGINE SCREAMS FOR PAVEMENT. ANYWAYS MY QUESTION WILL ACCEL OR ANYOTHER AFTERMARKET RUNNERS BOLT DIRECTLY TO THE STOCK PLENUM AND MANIFOLD. I BELIEVE I HEARD LIGENFELLER SELLS THEM THAT WAY. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS GUYS THANX TIM

If I understand correctly, most if not all these will bolt up to the stock intake, but you're probably not gonna truly benefit from them until you get a new hi-flow intake and port the plenum.
thanx for the reply
well i see your point but i forgot to mention the plenum is ported though the stock runners have not been at all. so i figured i would just put this out there for you guys who know. i like what i here and see with the accel hiflo runnes and i do not want to lose the runner length with regards to that fierce lowend torque. so is it worth it just to buy a set or to just port out the stock. i am going to change out all the plenum and runner gaskets this winter and intake. is it also true from what i have heard though that the true power robber is this stock manifold
