Hmmkay...
I've finally got the thing running and have been driving it around town all weekend and it feels great. The only problem is, it's only running with the MAF unplugged. When I plug the MAF in, it runs for a few seconds, rather roughly I might add, then dies.
The burnoff relay and MAF relay are both brand new and test fine. I've even replaced them with some spares I have laying around and get the same results.
I'm wanting to go ahead and do the speed density swap, but I'm having absolutely no luck finding a speed density ecm right now. I have to have it running by the 24th, so I'm thinking of just buying a new MAF and doing the swap later.
Does anyone know where I can find a Wells MAF? I noticed that Autozone doesn't carry them anymore. I can't find them anywhere else either. All I can find is the Cardone. Are those any good?
I've been reading posts about this for an hour and it's all pretty vague. Anyone know where I can find a Wells?

 

The brand doesn't matter greatly, as long as you get a thick-film type sensor instead of a hot wire type. Once you have one, it should be a lifetime unit. Wells just happened to be the first to retrofit the newer type sensor for older applications like ours.
