AIR pump outlet tube and emissions

Three fairly short topics/questions:

1. I noticed my AIR outlet tube is actually kinked where the two bends are on its way to the diverter valve. Pretty severely, actually. Not enough to completely close off the flow, but definitely enough to significantly reduce the flow. Has anyone else seen this? I suspect this could be part of the problem I failed the emissions sniffer with high CO values (of course my HC were high too <sigh> )

2. I've seen several posts about the diverter valve going bad or being "stuck". How do you test or determine if the diverter valve is okay or not? What about the check valves?

3. I saw someone mentioned that the diverter valve only flow air into the exhause pipes during open loop, and during closed loop everything goes to the cats. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Have a Great Day!!!

i can't confirm the airflow, but can confirm the tube being kinked. i thought the same about mine, bought a new one, and it's made the same way...

I know when I put the ECM in diagnostic mode I hear one of the solenoids click. (A->B)
I never confirmed which of the two AIR control solenoids it was though.
