Before going into a detailed post I would like to know if you have read all of the tech article and stickies? They are bursting with free to semi free modifications and lots of product knowledge.

There's several intakes..Holley Stealth Ram, Accel Super Ram, TPIS Mini Ram, etc, etc, you need to determine a coulple of things...cost as well as if you need to keep it emissions legal for your area. There's also many differnt combinations of runners and bases (Edelbrock, AS&M, Accel to name a few)

Forget the looks of the GM TPI intake, you'll probably be able to free up a good 50-60HP with a good intake that will take advantage of your heads and cam setup.

BTW,

Forget about the claims, and go with the guys who have BTDT.

www.stealthram.com has many dyno posts.

The Super Ram has propelled many a 350 into the low 12's with mild cam/CR setups...albeit with good heads., the MiniRam has/was/still is???? the King....the LT1 intake conversion has shown good results as well,...as mentioned before, do a search and see what fit's your needs, or what others are doing with the combo's.

HSR is a good way to go. Wtih the right gears and cam you will not notice a loss in low end. It will also allow you to give it more throttle on the launches with out as much tire spin. I love my HSR. It is very good on the street. And you wont truely know what others mean by the 45-6500 RPM pull untill you experience it yourself. What fun.

Believe it or not, more the latter, I still (LOL) have my stock 2.73 open differential. I am putting in the 3.45 posi disc rear end on Monday. SO, I used to have a 305 TBI with WP Torquer SRs and some other stuff. The new setup with a higher cam still comes out of the hole better because I can give it more throttle. So with 3.45s it should be a whole new ball game. It really is not bad in the 1500-3,000 RPM range with my low gears.

I have a 5 speed and had to work on the in town take off, but yeah, it is still good. I have a good tune though. Did that make sense?
