Alright.... was going to take off my runners to polish them... figured itd be easy to get them off... everything was going fine untill i noticed there was a bolt i couldnt get to unless i removed valve covers... so i pulle off my alternator, and since i wanted to remove my smog pump i took that out... and the item that it was attached too.... is it important or not? i think it runs to the cat converter for some kinda of polution control garbage.. there are no emisssions test down here so i really dont care... do i need the item below???
the a/c compressor is on its own belt... when i tear that out what do i do with the line that goes to the radiator from the compressor?
thnx westley

are you removing it permantly? Or simply moving it out of the way?
Keep in mind the A/C system is under pressure, or, at least, it should be.....
If you don't want it, just follow the lines and detach them from wherever they hook up, and pull 'em out.
If you want to keep it, leave the lines attached, and just set the compressor out of the way.

The PEDE's valve hooks to your exhaust manifolds and cat converter. You'll need to cap off the air tubes on the manifolds and the one going to the converter. And no, you won't loose power by removing it.
perfectly answers my question im ripping my cat off it a few weeks anyways

I may be wrong, but I think the delete pulley is for serpentine belt cars that wish to retain the use of the stock-sized belt. Not sure if you can do the same on a v-belt car. You may just have to measure and try them out at the auto parts store.Originally posted by Incoming

Can't help ya on where they sell them, but I can assure you my car has the alternator on the left and A/C compressor on the right. Its not V-belt, but its also got two different belts for the accessories.Originally posted by Incoming
