cam suggestions
i have an l98 speed density tpi in my 91 z. im going to put hyper pistons @ 9.5 - 9.8.1 comp. i already have the accel intake and slp runners and have ported the plenum. going to het a 52mm tb also and i have a set of 24 pd injectors. im still considering different head combos everything from afr to world to trickflow to even mabey some good vortecs( i know requires different intake ).i have underdrive pulleys and a full msd ignition. anyways ive heard alot about lt4 hotcam and zz4 and zz409 cams and mostly with good results. which is the prodominently(sp?) better cam. its going to be more of my weekend nights car not an everyday driver . all smog n emmissions are removed. have full length headers and y pipe into flowmasters w/ dual tips. the 700r4 has been built so the hp and torque willnot be a problem. 9 bolts posi also. the gears are 3.73..subframe connectors and other goodies. car will be solid and motor should run strong thats the point! thats why im open for suggestions on the cam

Cam selection with EFI doesn't always hinge on the one that makes the most power. I have seen cases where medium mannered cams, maybe even mild, were thrown into warmed over combos and given an excellent tune and they ran better than large cams tossed into decent setups but weren't given the proper tune. So as for the predominant camshaft, I guess that would depend on how willing you are to sit down and tune the setup. So I guess the question really is how willing are you tune the setup propery? With tuning, you can get quite aggressive, assuming the rest of the engine can feed it.
Comp Cams also has good EFI grinds that might be worth looking into.
I know the LT4 HOT cam is hotter than the ZZ4. I am not sure what the specs are on the ZZ409. So between the HOT cam and the ZZ4, the HOT cam would probably be my choice. Again, I am not sure what the ZZ409 specs are.
