TPI airbox
I was thinking on using factory TPI Airbox for cold air intake setup on my carbed engine. Does anybody know what the maximum flow is for the snorkel or box, whatever you want to call it? Anybody using this with built up TPI systems getting around 450 horses?

The snorkel assembly isn't the flow restriction or the horsepower limiter of the TPI system... Yeah you could use it just fine (people have already).

if you do use the TPI intake system, make sure to gut the filter boxes so allow more air to flow up in there. Should be good to go with that.

Thanks guys. I can get the complete airbox from a 2.8 MPFI camaro for $20. Are the boxes/snorkels the same for v6 and v8?

yes they are, the 6 and 8 cylinder cars all used the same intake Y and air boxes. above when you were only referring to a TPI airbox, i wanted to make sure you used a camaro airbox and not a firebird intake setup. the intake ducting on a firebird sucks and they are restrictive so it woudl be wise to make sure you use the camaro setup. good luck.
