I have a set of Multec 24 lb injectors on my 327 TPI with a custom EPROM. I'm just wondering how the Multecs compare to oem bosch, ford svo, accel, etc in terms of quality. I paid $35 so I'm not in the hole by much on these.

 

All I know is that Accel injectors are trash right out of the box.
My Accel injectors leak down in about 30 min making the next start nearly flooded. they are also inconsistant at idle.

I have read on this forum that SVO's are good.

 

Apparently they're less resistant to deposit fouling due to a ball-and-seat design. I have, and will always prefer Bosch injectors (same as the SVO) because the quality in engineering and production is, in my opinion every bit as good as AC Delco parts, and in some cases better.

GM used Bosch components in a bunch of models... relays, MAF's and Fuel Injectors. In fact, I think the 3800 series engines are still using Bosch injectrs. Not that Multec's are bad.... they're different design for lower maintenance. Send them out to be cleaned and flow matched and you'll probably not have any other problems.
