I recently got a problem of whenever I do a good WOT run, the next light or stop I make, when I take off I get some ping(about 1 full second and under 2k), but only after a WOT run. The harder the run, the more ping it is.


It started it recently. No tuning or changes were done when it started so I think it is a mechanical problem, although it does seem to do it when spark advance comes in.

I have changed the plugs and no help. FP is steady and timing will be confirmed tonight.

Possibly an injector that is sluggish.

 

humm......no easy way to test that :-(


What is the best way to test injectors with out pulling them???

Injector balance test. That leaves the injectors in the engine, but you need the tester and a fuel pressure guage. Actron used to sell the tester for $20 from their site, don't know if they still do or not.
