Well, I got a 395 cu.in. stroker in my MAF '87 IROCZ. Is that close enough? Details in my sig, and I do burn my own Eproms.
Mechanically, I dont know if there would be any mismatch between the heads and intake, such as, bolt holes not aligned.

I have 389 CID motor running a MAF but it's a Granatelli adjustable MAF. I think you won't be happy with a stock intake and runners on a 400.

With 400 cubes, you should have plenty of bottom end grunt, therefore in place of a TPI (which is taylored for more bottom end) install a Holley Sleath Ram, and spec the cam accordingly. I have been considering doing the same thing next year.

Yes, those will help. You'll have great low end torque. I do agree that you would be happier with a Stealth Ram if emissions isn't a concern.
