egr question

350 TPI mild cam,custom chip. Air pump gone. Should I leave egr on or take it off?

Transmission: THM350 (Getting a 4L80E soon)
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt w/ 2.43 gears :(
If it works then leave it on to help keep the chamber temps and possible detonation down. If it is dead and you don't have a visual emission inspection get a blockoff plate and be done with it.

Egr will also help gas mileage since inert gas decreases required amount of fuel to fill cylinder volume.
