Hey guys, I just finished putting together my stroked 350.
My question is: What fuel pressure are you guys running on your 383 engines with the stock chip?
I just need a safe fuel pressure to brake this engine. I understand that my computer will regulate injector pulse width at part throtle depending on O2 sensor and MAFS readings, but, I just dont want to rely too much on them and run too high or too low pressure while seating the rings.
My fuel pressure was adjusted for maximum output for my stock 350 with aftermarket base, runners, and headers, prior to the engine swap.
I'm planning on a custom chip, but not for right now.

I have 24 lb/hr injectors
Edelbrock base
SLP runners
TFS 23* heads
214 - 220 dur @ .050 cam 112 lobe angle

I put my fuel pressure at 46 psi @ WOT to break in my 383. It worked fine. I even went 12.89 with that fuel pressure.

 

I have close to the same setup on a frinds car and we run 44psi on it. Thats with the correct chip, the stock chip will make it run rich. I would not drive it much like that.
