or
1987 PONTIAC TRANS AM, GTA, 6 speed, ported heads, big intake, runner and injectors, big fuel pump, 6 speed need to be fixed, $1200 obo
thats a really low price how much would it cost to fix the 6 speed... and if all else fails i can pick up a new t56 tranny for pretty cheap huh? again it doesnt say how many miles on it based its under 100,000 not worried about interior stuff . i just want a strong body, frame, engine, and tranny (would have to fix)

IMO, I'd look for a good body and straight frame. I think I'm pretty handy as far as engine/tranny/drivetrain are concerned, but am clueless as far as cosmetic repairs. I suppose it depends on where your experience lies.
Both are worth looking at. I would have thoughts about what the guy did with the second car. If he knew what he was doing with the six speed. The T56's usually don't break, so I would wonder about the integrity of the rest of the car.
